Why the Local Details Matter
Texas has no state property tax. Appraisal districts value property as of January 1, and local taxing units set the rates, so the county and school district on a parcel shape the tax estimate that goes into your monthly housing expense. Municipal utility districts and public improvement districts add their own taxes or assessments on top.
Those charges count when a lender qualifies you. The pages above show what to ask before you make an offer, so the payment you plan around is the one you will actually have. To compare loan types first, see our loan options overview.
Is Your City Not Listed?
We also serve buyers and homeowners in other parts of the Dallas-Fort Worth area that do not have their own page yet. The same local questions apply: which county and appraisal district, which school district, and whether a special district affects the address. Contact us with the address you are considering and we will go through it with you.
